An outfit is a frame in which a form and its surroundings live. It is a harmony between the cut, fabric, color and the woman herself. The shape of her body, the way she walks, how she expresses her movements...

The spring is coming and with so many restrictions and rules around us to follow let's give ourselves some well-deserved freedom in such a personal matter as clothes!

It is worth knowing however a few practical guidelines to follow when choosing an outfit. They will make us feel comfortable, stylish and confident at the same time in any situation. Let's be practical and have fun with fashion!

Among the overwhelming pressure of being a superwoman one of the things that can really make you lose sleep over is the necessity of being slim within modern standards.

Well, the pressure is real - we have all been struggling with some body insecurities and often how we look is out of our control. Meanwhile, we have an important event just round a corner!

First of all: Don't panic.

Second: Don’t lose your good mood. There are no hopeless situations, there is always something that can be done.

Third: Have a good plan that includes:

1. Checking out your existing wardrobe

Start with underwear and check if it still fits you (even a perfect outfit does not look good on poorly fitted underwear!).

Choose the base. Preferably few versions of different pieces that can be combined into a perfect outfit . Choose things with v-cuts to slim down the figure along and make you look taller. Try on individual elements to check how they look on your curves. Try to avoid clothing that is too tight as that tends to reveal all the imperfections of the figure.

Discard any large, shiny wardrobe items which may attract too much attention to parts of your body that may require a bit of a cover up.

2. Ask yourself what colour do you fancy to wear today?

Think which hue may help you to look slender and try something different than good old black.
After dark winter months your complexion turned pale, dull and tired. Even your best make up does not seem to work. Black may only make it worse, making you look gloomy and sad.
You may achieve a refreshed look by using, let’s say, navy blue or by combining several colors on the basis of: lighter underlayer (maybe patterned or gloss) like a blouse or a top, matched with darker overlayer like a tunic, a shirt dress or long unbuttoned shirt.

Two or three-colour one-piece solutions (dresses, overalls) also work well, as long as the colours change along the silhouette. Ideally go for darker on the sides, lighter in the middle section.

3. If you choose a one-colour outfit like a long, navy silk dress with a boat neckline make sure you add a long statement necklace to make your torso seem lean. Alternatively, if time permits, transform the dress with help of a seamstress friend by deepening the neckline and add an insert of a fine tulle in a contrasting colour. You can even opt for a full on, low cut option - just remember about well-fitted nude underwear.

4. And if you prefer trousers? Wear a skinny pair to balance the bulkiness of overshirts, sweaters and coats. Match wide leg trousers - ideally made of heavy silk or wool - with a small classic t-shirt or a fitted shirt neatly tucked into the waistband.

Also!

Fourth: Book at least four hours prior to the event for yourself. To relax, put a mask on, take an aromatic bath, do your make up and simply unwind.

And the fifth: Stand in front of the mirror, smile and wish yourself an amazing evening!

We as well wish you wonderful, memorable encounters and an excellent mood!.
